Before we continue, let me refresh your minds on our last post about pocket pc on “how to setup gprs settings for windows mobile 2003”
How I use my favorite mp3 song as my ringtone
Today, we are going to use o2 pocket pc xda lli for this tutorial. If you’re ready, let’s proceed.
First go to your “file explorer” by clicking “start” and click “program”, there you will see your “file manager”
In your file explorer, copy the mp3 song you want to use as your ringtone
Hope you’re still in your explorer? Now in “my device” click on “windows”.
Scroll down to where you’ll see “Rings” click on it. See screen shot
It will take you to the place where you’ll put the mp3 you copied earlier. Now in the “Rings” pane, you will see the default mp3 ringtone which is “o2 tone” paste the copied mp3 to the same folder. See shot below
Now that you have pasted your favorite mp3 it’s time to make it our ring tone
Close the file explorer and click on menu, click on “settings”, and the new interface that’ll pop out click “phone”. See shot below
In “Ring tone” select the song and click the “Ok” button located above the right. See screen shot
We have successfully used our favorite song as our default ringtone. How cool is that?
