    This trick reduces the time windows XP waits before it automatically closing any running programs when you give it the command to shutdown.
    THE SIMPLE STEPS
    Click on “Start” icon then go to “Run” and type “Regedit” in the provided box and tap enter or click ok.
    It will take you to your registry panel, here locate the: “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\” and select ‘WaitToKillAppTimeout’
    Right click and select “Modify” Change the value to ’1000′ Click ‘OK’
    Now select “HungAppTimeout” Right click and select “Modify” Change the value to ’1000′ Click ‘OK’
    Now find “HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT \Control Panel\Desktop” Select “WaitToKillAppTimeout” Right click and select “Modify”’ Change the value to ’1000′ Click ‘OK’
    Now find “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \System\CurrentControlSet\Control \” Select “WaitToKillServiceTimeout” Right click and select “Modify” Change the value to ’1000′ Click ‘OK’

  • HOW TO MANUALLY BLOCK A WEBSITE FROM YOUR PC : Some of us don’t want our kids watching adult movies and some don’t want their kids clicking their blog ad to prevent ban. Most people have other reasons of blocking some certain sites from showing in their pc.
    So on today, we are going to know how to block sites from our pc manually without stress. Note that if you block any site it can’t be opened by any browser except you reverse it and remember that this tutorial is very simple to comprehend.
    For this trick to work we are going to edit the host file of our windows and we will use the Ip address “127.0.0.1 (i.e localhost)”.Whenever somebody tries to open the blocked website the user will be redirected to localhost.
    1. If you’re running vista or windows 7, open your notepad as admin
    2. Now click “file” and press “open” then go to C: \Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc and locate the file “hosts”.
    3. When this hosts file is opened in Notepad, at the end of the file you will see something like “127.0.0.1 localhost”.
    4. Under “127.0.0.1localhost” just add another website URL that you want to block. Example 127.0.0.1localhost 127.0.0.2 www.amazon.com 127.0.0.3 www.facebook.com
    Now try to visit the site you just added with your browser and watch what happens.
    Tip: Remember that you can always disable it by deleting the site you input.

  • You have created a website that is nice and beautiful but don’t you think something is missing? Still thinking what is missing? The mobile version of your site of cuss!
    Ok! Let’s say you have created a mobile version of your site how do you redirect your mobile users automatically to your mobile site?
    Today many people use mobile phones to surf the internet and it would be nice to give your site that slick look on the mobile platform. There are ways, in which you can redirect your users but today, I will be showing you the easiest way using htaccess. If you have created a mobile version of your site then this is for you.
    The steps are so simple and do not need technical skills to implement but you must follow the step accordingly because .htaccess is very strong.
    STEPS TO CREATE HTACCESS…
    First you’re going to check your cpanel to know if you have .htacces present, if you don’t have .htaccess in your cpanel, we’ll create one now.
    First open your notepad and paste the below code in it.
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} android|avantgo|blackberry|blazer|compal|elaine|fennec|hiptop|iemobile|ip(hone|od)|iris|kindle|lge\ |maemo|midp|mmp|opera\ m(ob|in)i|palm(\ os)?|phone|p(ixi|re)\/|plucker|pocket|psp|symbian|treo|up\.(browser|link)|vodafone|wap|windows\ (ce|phone)|xda|xiino [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} ^(1207|6310|6590|3gso|4thp|50[1-6]i|770s|802s|a\ wa|abac|ac(er|oo|s\-)|ai(ko|rn)|al(av|ca|co)|amoi|an(ex|ny|yw)|aptu|ar(ch|go)|as(te|us)|attw|au(di|\-m|r\ |s\ )|avan|be(ck|ll|nq)|bi(lb|rd)|bl(ac|az)|br(e|v)w|bumb|bw\-(n|u)|c55\/|capi|ccwa|cdm\-|cell|chtm|cldc|cmd\-|co(mp|nd)|craw|da(it|ll|ng)|dbte|dc\-s|devi|dica|dmob|do(c|p)o|ds(12|\-d)|el(49|ai)|em(l2|ul)|er(ic|k0)|esl8|ez([4-7]0|os|wa|ze)|fetc|fly(\-|_)|g1\ u|g560|gene|gf\-5|g\-mo|go(\.w|od)|gr(ad|un)|haie|hcit|hd\-(m|p|t)|hei\-|hi(pt|ta)|hp(\ i|ip)|hs\-c|ht(c(\-|\ |_|a|g|p|s|t)|tp)|hu(aw|tc)|i\-(20|go|ma)|i230|iac(\ |\-|\/)|ibro|idea|ig01|ikom|im1k|inno|ipaq|iris|ja(t|v)a|jbro|jemu|jigs|kddi|keji|kgt(\ |\/)|klon|kpt\ |kwc\-|kyo(c|k)|le(no|xi)|lg(\ g|\/(k|l|u)|50|54|e\-|e\/|\-[a-w])|libw|lynx|m1\-w|m3ga|m50\/|ma(te|ui|xo)|mc(01|21|ca)|m\-cr|me(di|rc|ri)|mi(o8|oa|ts)|mmef|mo(01|02|bi|de|do|t(\-|\ |o|v)|zz)|mt(50|p1|v\ )|mwbp|mywa|n10[0-2]|n20[2-3]|n30(0|2)|n50(0|2|5)|n7(0(0|1)|10)|ne((c|m)\-|on|tf|wf|wg|wt)|nok(6|i)|nzph|o2im|op(ti|wv)|oran|owg1|p800|pan(a|d|t)|pdxg|pg(13|\-([1-8]|c))|phil|pire|pl(ay|uc)|pn\-2|po(ck|rt|se)|prox|psio|pt\-g|qa\-a|qc(07|12|21|32|60|\-[2-7]|i\-)|qtek|r380|r600|raks|rim9|ro(ve|zo)|s55\/|sa(ge|ma|mm|ms|ny|va)|sc(01|h\-|oo|p\-)|sdk\/|se(c(\-|0|1)|47|mc|nd|ri)|sgh\-|shar|sie(\-|m)|sk\-0|sl(45|id)|sm(al|ar|b3|it|t5)|so(ft|ny)|sp(01|h\-|v\-|v\ )|sy(01|mb)|t2(18|50)|t6(00|10|18)|ta(gt|lk)|tcl\-|tdg\-|tel(i|m)|tim\-|t\-mo|to(pl|sh)|ts(70|m\-|m3|m5)|tx\-9|up(\.b|g1|si)|utst|v400|v750|veri|vi(rg|te)|vk(40|5[0-3]|\-v)|vm40|voda|vulc|vx(52|53|60|61|70|80|81|83|85|98)|w3c(\-|\ )|webc|whit|wi(g\ |nc|nw)|wmlb|wonu|x700|xda(\-|2|g)|yas\-|your|zeto|zte\-) [NC]
    RewriteRule ^$ http://onenaija.net/forum  [R,L]
    NOTE: Change the “RewriteRule ^$ http://onenaija.net/forum  [R,L]” to your own url.
    The above image showed the code in a notepad. Now save the code as .htaccess
    NOTE: Make sure it has no extensions like .htaccess.txt it should just be only .htaccess
    Go to your cpanel and upload the .htaccess you created. Have you uploaded it, ok now check your mobile browser and see if it redirects.
    NOTE: If the .txt extension still shows in the .htaccess just edit it with your cpanel editor to make it just .htaccess.
    Hope this certify your need? If you got any question regarding this topic feel free to use the comment box below.

    It is impossible to create a website in less than 5mins. Building a site takes time and after the hard work of creating a desktop and mobile view of your website, you would want to redirect your readers to either the mobile or desktop view, depending on the device the reader is using. So how do you do this? I have dropped a post earlier on “HOW I REDIRECT MY MAIN SITE TO MY MOBILE SITE USING .HTACCESS” on our today issue, we are going to look how we can redirect our main site to our mobile site using .php script.
    In case you don’t want to play around with your .htaccess then this tutorial suite you.
    HOW YOU CAN REDIRECT YOU WEBSITE TO YOUR MOBILE SITE USING .PHP
    Create 2 folders for your mobile and desktop website and upload your sites script to the folders
    Open your notepad if you don’t have Dreamweaver and paste the below codes
    <?php
    $mobile_browser = ’0′;
    if(preg_match(‘/(up.browser|up.link|mmp|symbian|smartphone|midp|wap|phone)/i’,
    strtolower($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']))){
    $mobile_browser++;
    }
    if((strpos(strtolower($_SERVER['HTTP_ACCEPT']),’application/vnd.wap.xhtml+xml’)>0) or
    ((isset($_SERVER['HTTP_X_WAP_PROFILE']) or isset($_SERVER['HTTP_PROFILE'])))){
    $mobile_browser++;
    }
    $mobile_ua = strtolower(substr($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'],0,4));
    $mobile_agents = array(
    ‘w3c ‘,’acs-’,’alav’,’alca’,’amoi’,’audi’,’avan’,’benq’,’bird’,’blac’,
    ‘blaz’,’brew’,’cell’,’cldc’,’cmd-’,’dang’,’doco’,’eric’,’hipt’,’inno’,
    ‘ipaq’,’java’,’jigs’,’kddi’,’keji’,’leno’,’lg-c’,’lg-d’,’lg-g’,’lge-’,
    ‘maui’,’maxo’,’midp’,’mits’,’mmef’,’mobi’,’mot-’,’moto’,’mwbp’,’nec-’,
    ‘newt’,’noki’,’oper’,’palm’,’pana’,’pant’,’phil’,’play’,’port’,’prox’,
    ‘qwap’,’sage’,’sams’,’sany’,’sch-’,’sec-’,’send’,’seri’,’sgh-’,’shar’,
    ‘sie-’,’siem’,’smal’,’smar’,’sony’,’sph-’,’symb’,’t-mo’,’teli’,’tim-’,
    ‘tosh’,’tsm-’,’upg1′,’upsi’,’vk-v’,’voda’,’wap-’,’wapa’,’wapi’,’wapp’,
    ‘wapr’,’webc’,’winw’,’winw’,’xda’,’xda-’);
    if(in_array($mobile_ua,$mobile_agents)){
    $mobile_browser++;
    }
    if (strpos(strtolower($_SERVER['ALL_HTTP']),’OperaMini’)>0) {
    $mobile_browser++;
    }
    if (strpos(strtolower($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']),’windows’)>0) {
    $mobile_browser=0;
    }
    if($mobile_browser>0){
    header(‘Location: http://YourSite.mobi/mobile’);
    } else {
    header(‘Location: http://YourSite.mobi/pc’);
    }
    ?>
    Have you copied the code above? Now save the code as index.php and upload it to your public_html

    HOW TO CHAT WITH YOUR FACEBOOK FRIENDS USING OPERA MINI AND UCBROWSER

    By: Unknown On: 9:28 PM

  • Believe it or not there are lots of applications out there that offers facebook chat for free; it is nice chatting with these applications but sometimes I’d want to browse with my favorite mobile browser “opera mini” and still be chatting with my friends which is impossible to do using certain phones except with “how I open many applications at a time with my s40 phone” or you do not have the money to buy facebook chat applications if you’re using those IOS phones.
    But today it is highly possible to chat with your friends on facebook and still be browsing other stuffs at the same time with your phone using opera mini or ucweb. Facebook have made it that easy where you don’t need apps before you can use their chat on mobile phone.
    Do you ask how to do it? Simple! Just open a new tab in your opera mini or ucweb and type the following url http://touch.facebook.com/buddylist
    NOTE: If you have not login to your facebook account it will ask of your username and password, put your facebook username and passwords and press login.
    Once it opens, you will see all your friends that are online at that moment, so you just click any friend you want to chat with and voila.
    On ucbrowsers, it auto refreshes its self incase of new chat.
    ADVANTAGES: The one advantage I love about this url to all facebook chat applications is; while other applications collects data from your facebook, facebook buddylist browses as your normal facebook without synchronizing any third party app.
    Now enjoy your facebook chat with friends and at the same time browse other pages with a deferent tab.
